Mission Statement We're a private, non-profit organization operating a state-licensed alcohol & drug treatment facility with both residential & outpatient clients. We provide a wide range of counseling & case management suited for individuals, couples, families & their children. Thousands of people have discovered life in recovery at NLCS. Our program utilizes individualized treatment planning, group therapy, educational classes, & various other therapeutic components.
Volunteer Duties

Garden Thursdays 9:00am-Noon Kitchen Monday-Thursday 2:00pm-5:00pm Preparing evening meal for 40 to 50 people cleaning, chopping vegetables for salad and side dish, assist as needed in making entree or dessert Kitchen 8:00am-noon preparing 200 buritos for the homeless in Watsonville, Santa Cruz and San Lorenzo Valley helping to make rice, beans and meat for burritos and assembly & rolling up burritos and clean up. 

Volunteers from the Santa Cruz community have been a vital part of the life at NLCS. You could be a part of this stimulating hands-on experience here. You may enjoy helping prepare dinner in the amazing kitchen that provides over 70,000 meals a year.
